Welcome to TTT!

  • What is TTT?

    • Trouble in Terrorist Town, also known as TTT, is a game of strategy. There are three teams: Innocents, Detectives and Traitors. The Innocents and Detectives must work together in a strategic manner to find who the Traitors are and kill them. The Traitors have to kill all the Innocents and Detectives without getting killed.
  • Gameplay

    • Each player is randomly assigned a role at the start of each round. All Traitors know who their fellow Traitor buddies are, but not all Innocents know who their fellow Innocents are. Detectives are distinctly separated in game, meaning everyone will know who the Detectives are each round.
  • Role Objectives and Winning Results

    • Innocents: Stay alive and help Detectives identify and eliminate all Traitors. Innocents win when all Traitors are dead or the timer runs out.
    • Detectives: Identify all Traitors and eliminate them before the timer runs out. Detectives win when all Traitors are dead or the timer runs out.
    • Traitors: Kill all Detectives and Innocents before the timer runs out & without getting killed. Traitors win when all Innocents and Detectives are dead.
  • Server Rules

    • No claiming areas. (ex. Cannot call KOS on anyone who enters the room you have "claimed")
    • No RDMing. You can't kill people unless there is evidence beyond reasonable doubt that they are Traitor. This means you can ONLY kill a player if they either shoot you or there is an ACTIVE KOS on them.
    • Traitors CAN call KOS. Like every KOS, there needs to be justifiable reason for calling it. Traitors can't just spontaneously announce a KOS on someone who hasn't done anything to merit a KOS.
    • No spamming in chat or over mic. TTT is meant to be fun and cooperative, nobody wants to hear the same person constantly talking.
    • Try to keep chat relevant to gameplay, we don't really want to hear that you ate a cheesestick for breakfast.
    • Don't ghost. This includes ratting out your Traitor buddies.
    • You may kill AFK players past the 3:00 mark. Once the 3:00 mark is reached, do an AFK check on the player and wait 3 seconds before killing them. THIS EXCLUDES DETECTIVES.
    • You may call a Livecheck or KOS past the 2:00 mark. Before then, you can only call regular livechecks. Failure to respond to a regular livecheck is not killable, but if a player specifically calls livecheck or KOS, you MUST respond or else you CAN be killed.
    • Once the timer reaches 2:30, you are allowed to WARN PLAYERS who are constantly following you to stop. You must CLEARLY give them the warning, and there must be THREE WARNINGS given before you can kill them. Regular warnings are fine, but you cannot deliver warnings and then kill them unless it is past the 2:30 mark.
    • DO. NOT. DELAY. It's not fun to watch players just running around doing nothing. All players, ESPECIALLY Traitors, must be ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING at ALL TIMES. Delaying rounds makes it really boring for the rest of us. At the 1:00 mark, beacons will be turned on for all players, regardless of how many people are left; it shouldn't take so long for a round to end.
    • Camping in one place is allowed for 30 seconds at atime. Once that 30 seconds is over, you MUST move to another spot. Don't just sit in the same hiding spot the entire game. It makes it boring for all of us.
    • Abusing any sort of exploit, plugin or map, may result in you being slain or banned. If you find a bug/exploit, then you are to report it to the Divisional Staff or on our forums immediately.
    • Putting Detective, Proven, or KOS in your name is not allowed.
    • Blatantly ignoring unidentified bodies and refusing to ID them can result in you being killed.
  • Innocent/Detective Rules

    • Damaging another player is prohibited unless acting in self defence.
    • No killing on suspicion. You may kill ONLY on KOS.
    • Detectives may call "Freeze and turn around" to a player in order to test them. Failure to comply results in a 'warning.' Once you have three warnings for not obeying, it is reason enough to call a KOS. You MUST make sure that the player has heard you and has had a chance to obey/disobey your order before you immediately call KOS. You must also wait 3-5 seconds before calling "Freeze and turn around" before issuing a warning.
    • Don't Traitor bait. This means randomly firing your gun near someone but not actually shooting them. This causes a lot of havoc and RDMing. You can shoot your gun directly into the air but don't shoot near people.
    • No prop blocking, prop surfing, or prop killing. This means you are not allowed to use props to block doorways and make it impossible to pass through. (This means that Traitors are allowed to prop block and prop surf to an extent, and prop kill however they wish.)
    • Failure to kill a player who has an active KOS on them is suspicion enough to kill YOU as well. If there is an active KOS on Player A and you just walk past them without doing anything, you CAN be killed.
    • Don't walk over unidentified bodies. Walking over an unidentified body is considered suspicious. You can tell a player to identify a body which they walked over/past; if they fail to do so, they can be killed.
    • NO calling a RANDOM KOS. Only call KOS on a player when you have ENOUGH EVIDENCE to show that they are a Traitor (seeing them kill someone else or by Tasing them). THIS ALSO MEANS THAT YOU SHOULDN'T CALL KOS ON YOURSELF. If someone calls KOS on themselves, DO NOT follow through with it; only follow through on a KOS if SOMEONE ELSE called KOS on them.
  • Traitors can...

    • NOT buy tasers. Literally, it's unavailable in the shop.
    • Call KOS, but only with legitimate reason; they may not call KOS on fellow Traitors.
    • also communicate with each other in TEAM CHAT or by doing sm_tvoice in console so that their voice chat is ONLY TO FELLOW TRAITORS!
    • Prop block and prop kill.
    • buy weapons from the shop. If a traitor buys a weapon right in front of someone, that's enough reason for the Traitor to be shot immediately.
  • RDM and Traitorous Acts

    • Random Death Match (RDM) is when one kills another player randomly, with no logical reasoning behind it. There are some instances where massive firefights ensure and result in players killing one another. It is NOT RDM if a player is acting out in self defence. Traitors killing their Traitor buddies IS considered RDM.

    Traitorous acts include:

    • throwing frag grenades at players (unless in self defence)
    • shooting at players
    • prop blocking and prop killing
    • hiding bodies
    • blatantly ignoring unidentified bodies
    • hiding/destroying Health Stations, or preventing other players from using them
