Privacy Policy Statement

I. Definitions and Introduction

The following indented and bold terms are considered the three major "sectors" of TangoWorldWide. This terminology will be used to describe bans and reference to various portions of the TangoWorldWide network. These terms will be used throughout this document.

GAME (Sector 1) "Game" refers to all game-servers listed on the Official Server List.

COMM (Sector 2) "Comm" refers to supported communication platforms such as our Official TeamSpeak and Discord server(s).

WEB (Sector 3) "Web" refers to our website found at tangoworldwide.net, and any TangoWorldWide owned website or platform.

NETWORK (ALL) "Network" refers to all TangoWorldWide services which include: servers, communication platforms, websites, events, and associated privileges gained by TangoWorldWide.

A. "Privacy Policy Statement" may be referred to as 'this document, this text, these policies, the policies, the rules, the code of conduct, etc' throughout the duration of this document.

B. TangoNetworksLLC is the parent company of TangoWorldWide. 'TangoNetworksLLC, TangoNetworks, TangoWorldWide, Tango, etc' may be used interchangeably throughout this document.

C. Within this document is for all users who utilize the TangoWorldWide NETWORK. Throughout the text, TangoWorldWide will be referred to commonly in first-person pronouns such as but not limited to 'us, we, ours, our, ourselves, etc'. We also may refer to ourselves as the 'company, network, community, organization, etc' or TangoWorldWide.net as the 'website, site, etc'.

D. Within this document TangoWorldWide will refer to you the user as 'you, users, clients, members, etc' and your donation-perks will be referred to as 'your service, your plan, your VIP, your donation, admin, perk , etc'. Throughout this text when referring to you, the user, we will use second-person pronouns.

E. For unclear or unclassified definitions, this document will refer to the parties of our company and you as the member visiting, utilizing, or purchasing services from TangoWorldWide. For further clarifications, contact balon via email here.

F. This document is for all users who contact or connect to the TangoWorldWide network unless otherwise specified. These policies are expected to be followed throughout the entire network. Players which utilize any aspect of TangoWorldWide are automatically expected to follow the text laid forth in this statement.

G. Wherever we refer to "Personal Data", we refer to any information that can be either itself identify you as the individual ("Personally Identifying Information") or that can be connected to you indirectly by linking it to Personally Identifying Information.

H. TangoWorldWide respects and is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its visitors, customers, and players. Section II, "Privacy Statement" outlines Privacy Policy which TangoWorldWide employs for our users. Section III, "GDPR Compliance" outlines our support for the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

II. Privacy Statement

Commitment to Confidentiality & Privacy
TangoWorldWide is an advocate of privacy and confidentiality. We take user privacy and confidentiality very seriously. Violation of these terms will result in the maximum consequence, including involvement of law.

A. We uphold a strict confidentiality policy, any discussions of personal information or confidential content will be bound to applicable staff. Confidential information will never be publicly available in the community, on the website, or throughout the network. This protection is for our members.

B. All user data is secured by reasonable and proper security practices. In the event of a breach, users will be informed within 3 days of us discovering a breach.

C. Our staff will never sell, release, or distribute personal information unless required by law or to a third party we've identified in our privacy policy or CoCPE.

Cookies
TangoWorldWide uses "cookies" to better your user experience.

A. We use "cookies", which are small text files placed on your computer, to help us analyze how users use our services, and similar technologies (e.g. web beacons, pixels, ad tags, and device identifiers) to recognize you and/or your device(s).

B. Cookies are either persistent or session based. Persistent cookies will be stored by your web browser and will remain valid until expiry. Session cookies will be destroyed at the end of your visit, or when your web browser is closed.

C. Typically, cookies do not store any information that personally identifies a user, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in a cookie.

D. The usage of cookies is standard on the Internet. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you control if yours will accept cookies or not. You may adjust your browser settings to prevent the reception of cookies, or to provide notification whenever a cookie is sent to you. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to access the full functionality of our websites.

E. Now that we have defined what cookies are, and how they work, you may better understand why and how we use them. We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • authentication - we use cookies to identify you when you visit our website and as you navigate our website
  • status - we use cookies to help determine if you are logged into our website
  • security - we use cookies as an element of security measures used to protect your account, including preventing fraudulent usage of login credentials, and protect our network generally
  • advertising - we use cookies to help us to display advertisements that will be relevant to you (cookies used for this purpose are: Google AdSense, Google AdExchange, Avocet, PulsePoint, Teads, Skimlinks, Monetizer 101)
  • analysis - we use cookies to help us to analyze the use and performance of our website and services (cookies used for this purpose are: Google Analytics, ComScore, Google Tag Manager, Matomo, Crazy Egg, Facebook Audience, Google Analytics Audience)

Why TangoWorldWide Collects and Processes Data
TangoWorldWide collects and processes Personal Data for the following reasons:

A. where it is necessary to provide a full-featured service and experience delivered through our network and provide personalized services

B. where it is necessary for security, logging, performance monitoring, and integrity of our network

C. where it is necessary for the ability to maintain and improve our network as well as implement new services and features to our network

D. where it is necessary for compliance with legal obligations that we are subject to, and by policy of the country of company registration

E. where it is necessary to protect TangoWorldWide, the users, and the public

F. where you have provided consent

What Data We Collect and Process
TangoWorldWide collects different points of data which allow us to better perform our job in providing our services and network. In addition to why we collect and process data, this defines what we collect and process.

Usage Data: Usage data may include, but is not limited to your IP Address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views, and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency, and pattern of your usage. TangoWorldWide employs Matomo (formerly piwik) which tracks your website usage and provides us analytical data. This data is used for analytics and logging.

Account Data: Account data may include, but is not limited to your username, email address, your hashed password, and other data you provide TangoWorldWide on your profile. Your account data may be processed for the purpose of operating our network, providing our services, ensuring the security and integrity of our network, maintaining back-ups, and communicating with the users.

Profile Data: Profile data extends account data, as the profile information you specify to include on TangoWorldWide. This includes but is not limited to your security question, sex, birthdate, your third-party platforms you wish to disclose (such as Steam, Minecraft, Twitter, Twitch, YouTube, etc). Your profile data will personalize your profile for other users and is used for enabling and monitoring your usage on our network.

Publication, Correspondence, and Generated Data: We may collect and process publication and generated data which is known as your posts, your content, shared resources (code, graphics, videos, etc), and other data you publish on our website. In addition, we collect correspondence data which include any communication content and metadata associated with the communication. This includes emails to your account, private messages with our users, etc.

Payment Information All payment processing is done by third parties such as PayPal and Stripe. While we do not receive credit card or financial information we may record your email address, the amount transferred to our network, and home address if necessary.

Data you Explicitly Provide We will collect and process Personal Data whenever you explicitly provide it to us or send it as a part of communication with others. This includes on our website, on our servers, and throughout our network.

Data Retention
We will store your data as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information collected and processed or -- where applicable law provides for longer storage and retention period -- for the storage and retention period required by law.

A. Your posts on our website are considered "publication" or "journalism", and will not be altered or deleted. You may edit your posts after posting, however that post cannot be deleted or altered per request.

B. Logs are retained for various periods of time depending on which system they belong to. Your connection data and activities are tracked via intense logging. These logs will not be altered nor deleted as long as they are needed. Logs are typically on log-rotate and auto purge every 90 days unless they are server-related data.

C. Your profile data will be kept after registration. You can alter your profile data at any time from the settings on your account.

D. Notwithstanding the other provisions of this section, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.

E. TangoWorldWide has backups across its entire networks. Backups are offloaded to our server provider, and stored for up to 6 months. Local system backups are stored for up to 20 days. Technicians may have backups, and the CEO/CTO or other executives may have local backups of data which may persist indefinitely.

Who Has Access to Data
TangoWorldWide is extremely selective of who has access to user data, and why they have access. The following describes who has your data, why they have it, and how we disclose personal data:

A. TangoNetworks and its subsidiaries may share your Personal Data amongst each other and use it to the degree necessary to achieve fulfilling "Why TangoWorldWide Collects and Processes Data". In the event of a reorganization, sale, or merger we may transfer Personal Data to the relevant third party subject to applicable laws.

B. Staff members of TangoWorldWide may have access to your personal data depending on their ranking on our Official Roster.

C. We may disclose your personal data to our insurers and/or professional advisers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining or maintaining insurance coverage, managing risks, obtaining professional advice, or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, whether in court proceedings or in an administrative or out-of-court procedure.

D. We may disclose email addresses to our suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for sending you email updates if you have requested it (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require the updates).

E. Our developers may have access to your data through an API which we decide to host. Also, analytic data may be used by our marketing and media teams.

F. Other users may have access to the data which is publicly accessible on your profile. This includes on your profile view, your posts, shoutbox comments, and other contributions to the website.

G. In addition to the specific disclosures of personal data set out in this Section 4, we may disclose your personal data where such disclosure is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person. We may also disclose your personal data where such disclosure is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, whether in court proceedings or in an administrative or out-of-court procedure.

Cookie usage by our service providers
Our service providers use cookies and those cookies may be stored on your computer when you visit our website. We are required by our Ad Vendor to include the following sub-sections.

A. We use Google Analytics and Comscore to analyze the use of our website. Google Analytics and Comscore gather information about website use by means of cookies. The information gathered relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of our website. Google's privacy policy is available at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/. Comscore’s privacy policy is available at https://www.comscore.com/About-comScore/Privacy-Policy.

B. We publish Google AdSense interest-based advertisements on our website. These are tailored by Google to reflect your interests. To determine your interests, Google will track your behavior on our website and on other websites across the web using cookies. You can view, delete or add interest categories associated with your browser by visiting: https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of the AdSense partner network cookie using those settings or using the Network Advertising Initiative's multi-cookie opt-out mechanism at: http://optout.networkadvertising.org. However, these opt-out mechanisms themselves use cookies, and if you clear the cookies from your browser your opt-out will not be maintained. C. We use Avocet, OpenX, PulsePoint, Sovrn and Google Audiences to carry out retargeting and Header Bidding. These service uses cookies for retargeting ads and targeting ads based on your interests. You can view the privacy policy of these service providers at:

Name & Shame
TangoWorldWide has rules against charging back against our network, once violating our ToS we are no longer obliged to uphold our part of the policies. Anyone who reverses a payment is subject to a permanently banned account and their payment details, account information, and linked accounts placed on public display to help protect us, and other communities. If you want to reverse a payment or charge-back we will make sure we take proper precautions to help other(s) from not being scammed as well, and to help aid inform future employeers of your character. These details of your account after a reversal will be made public and searchable through Google. This is your only warning.

Amendments
TangoWorldWide may update this policy from time to time by publishing new versions on our website. It is recommended you check back every few months to ensure you have re-read any possible changes. At the beginning of this document is the Last Updated date, which will report when changes have been made. You can further see delta changes via gitlab.

III. GDPR Compliance (General Data Protection Regulation)

TangoWorldWide respects foreign policy and regulation. In respecting foreign policy, we follow the data protection laws of the Europen Union(EU), GDPR. GDPR stands for the General Data Protection Regulation and applies to all users in the European Economic Area (EEA). If you are not within the EEA, the compliance in this section is not applicable to you.

Proof of Residency and Identity
To begin the process of exercising your right for GDPR, you will be required to provide valid proof of residency and identity. This commonly will be a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or a bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address. We will not honor requests otherwise.

Rights to Access
By GDPR, you have the right to access your Personal Data that we hold on you. This includes the right to your data, and information on whether your Personal Data is retained. The first copy is to be provided free of charge, but additional copies will be subject to an administration fee. To begin this process, you can contact us via the information found in the "Company Information" section of the Privacy Statement. You will be required to also follow the "Proof of Residency and Identity".

Rights to Rectification
If we process your Personal Data, we shall endeavor to ensure by implementing suitable measures that your Personal Data is accurate and up-to-date for the purposes for which it was collected. If your Personal Data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can change this information by contacting us. To begin this process, you can contact us via the information found in the "Company Information" section of the Privacy Statement. You will be required to also follow the "Proof of Residency and Identity".

Rights to be forgotten (erasure)
You have the right to have your data deleted by us. The data that will be deleted is all personally identifiable information. Posts, contributions, staff work, shouts, comments, etc will not be deleted. Your forum account will no longer be accessible permanently, and be anonymized. To begin this process, you can contact us via the information found in the "Company Information" section of the Privacy Statement. You will be required to also follow the "Proof of Residency and Identity".

In many cases, deletion of data and Personal Data is complicated. Namely, you may have contributed to projects, groups, the forums, and the network of TangoWorldWide. We will not delete data that ruins the experience of other peoples, nor impacts their usage of our service.

Rights to Object
When our processing of your Personal Data is based on legitimate interests according to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR / "What Data We Collect and Process" section of this Privacy Policy, you have the right to object to this processing. If you object we will no longer process your Personal Data unless there are compelling and prevailing legitimate grounds for the processing as described in Article 21 of the GDPR; in particular if the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. You will be required to also follow the "Proof of Residency and Identity".

Rights to Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint at a supervisor authority.

Rights to Withdraw Consent
To the extent that the legal basis for our processing of your personal information is consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. You will be required to also follow the "Proof of Residency and Identity".

IV. GDPR Regulations (General Data Protection Regulation)

In efforts for TangoWorldWide to comply with GDPR, we must make regulations and rules for members of the EEA. The following are rules and conditions which you consent to by being registered on this forum.

1. You agree that you are at least 13 years old if you are a resident or citizen of the EEA.

2. You agree that you use a pseudonym username that does not associate to your personal information. Including, but not limited to: ethnicity, location, school, workplace, accounts, emails accounts or your real name.

3. You agree that once your steam account is linked to TangoWorldWide, unless your account is entirely purged through the GDPR Compliance section above, your link will not be removed.

4. You agree the content you create does not contain information which may expose you personally or include personal data. If you have created content that is personable, it has become public archivable information and therefore considered journalism/publication. In addition, any data which impacts the experience of others will not be deleted nor altered. (e.g. removing a thread is not possible as other users may have posted upon it)

5. You agree with personalizing your experience at TangoWorldWide, that your signature, avatar, and other account information should not contain information which can identify you. If you chose to post this information, on closure or ban your data will be edited out but remained logged.

6. You agree you will not submit data to our website that will contain information which can identify you and we are not obligated to remove it based on personal privacy.

7. You agree that you will not post information which can identify other persons.

8. You agree that the content that you create, your posts, shouts, and various contributions meet the qualification for "journalism". Once posted, it is not required we alter or delete that data. This includes during GDPR Compliance, your post data will not be altered nor deleted.

8. You agree that if you participate in any transactions with TangoWorldWide, trades, sales, and other market activity your personal information may be stored indefinitely.

9. You agree that your actions are logged entirely and retained for an undisclosed amount of time (though we can say usually 90 days). Your actions will be kept and even exposed for the purpose of preventing, investigating, detecting, and prosecution of legal responsibility and liability in both civil and criminal law.

10. You agree that members who are Staff+ are considered to have access to your IP data. While this is not necessarily the case where all have access, a general rule of thumb is all Staff+ have potential to access this data. In addition, staff can access all of your posts (even deleted ones), registration IP, IP history, email address, and users in common to you.

11. You agree that all Supervisory+ have all access to the described in #10, as well as private message data, and password hash (not your plain-text password).

12. You consent to the backups of your data which have been outlined in our Privacy Statement (section 2).

13. You agree that in the event of a breach, you will be notified in 72 hours of discovery.

14. You agree that accounts with more than one post will not be deleted, only anonymized upon GDPR Compliance.

15. You agree that anywhere you are registered for staff work such as, but not limited to, GSPanel, GitLab, Cloud, etc that your works or data will not be deleted upon termination from staff.

16. You agree to use any of the GDPR Compliance section, you must be a citizen or resident of the EU. You will be required to prove citizenship or residency by legal documents to provide you the legal protections and rights of the law. This includes documents such as passport, legal ID, etc which must be presented to our CEO, TJ Balon.
