Im a 15 year old male, i play lacrosse and i need a good workout play to balance both muscle and endurance

Shouldn't your coaches do conditioning and make your workout plans

Also don't they have workout plans in your gym class for weightlifting or something

That's an awful idea. You need to have a workout plan tailored to your body. Working out at 15 and workout out at 20+ are two completely different things and require different tailored approaches.

If you can, work on cardio and weights. I don’t do much lifting but I do cardio a lot and I’m only 14.

I do a lot of cardio and calisthenics. Weight lifting can stunt your growth.

I get that from my trainers for martial arts related stuff. One of them works out a lot.

my bad if you do it WRONG it can stunt your growth cause if u hurt urself in some areas then yeah it will stunt ur growth @majd

Yea if you do it incorrectly weight training (not strength training) will stunt your growth. '...especially when proper technique is sacrificed in favor of lifting larger amounts of weight'

I recently read the article from the Mayo Clinic and it said that if use incorrect technique in order to reach higher weights then it will stunt your growth.

Hey, I currently play lacrosse at the college level and personally for me I use a balance of mechanical drop sets and interval training to keep my strength and endurance up to par. I think mechanical drop sets work great to develop strength along with adding 800-1000 calories to your daily intake. For endurance training I would try interval training to simulate how you will run during a lacrosse game. This could be achieved by replicating a normal shift you'd take on a lacrosse field. Since I now play with the shot clock I try to run for 80 seconds and then take a quick cool down jog before starting up again.

Ask coaches, they will be able to help you better than anyone else at your age really.

When I did wrestling throughout my freshman year of high school both coaches gave me a pretty clear-cut, simple workout that kept me from getting slaughtered by kids in my weight class while they were still much bigger than me.
