How are you, mental health wise?
« on: June 13, 2017, 10:06:47 am »
Mental health is a problem. Undeniably. But some people have it worse than others and it can really affect them. Remember if you are having problems with your mental health to be loud! Tell someone, tell me!

I don't expect anyone to be open in replying below, but I have experience helping people with these sort of issues and I'm willing to help! Add me on steam or forum PM me.

Just thought I'd make this post because I recently lost a friend due to suicide and I want to help in anyway I can.

Honestly I'm one of the most open people when it comes to my Mental Health. I'm honestly hitting one of the worst places since around the end of October. Pretty much back then, anywhere I was going to go in Football ended. The last game of my season ended with me getting me left knee hit over and over again by other lineman, and that fucked up my knee hardcore. Currently I can't run as much as I used to. Now I'm hitting the end of Grade 12, swamped with school work. I got about 2 days to hand in everything I can which I probably wont get everything in. I have 3 exams, 2 for English with the combined total equaling 30% of my final grade, and 1 for Biology which is again 30% of my final grade. Even if I pass both, I'll have a decent Bio mark but a shitty English mark, and on top of that I have to take a 4th year of Highschool to take a Science class, and upgrade my Social mark in order to have a chance at going to Post-Secondary. Amongst that all throughout this year I have been trying new meds in order to mellow out the several mental disorders that I have. (ADD, Opposional Defiance Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Very Bad Anxiety and Stress, Crippling Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder) (All being confirmed by several psychologists btw.) So some how I'm surviving, and probably will continue, but everything is a fucking shitstorm in my head.

A way to cure mental health: take the tin foil hat off your head dude, it isn't in fashion....
glad to know you still have a picture of me saved, i can tell you think I'm beautiful.

you are literally the most irrelevant staff member with the most made up bullshit position i think ive ever seen. it was made so you dont try to grab attention and leave tango again.

you are about as edgy as the blade you slice you wrists with. you can probably hold a conversation as long as you can hold a 3 pound weight with your toothpick lookin ass arms.

Sounds to me like your whole issue with school is a lack of motivation, you need to find something or someone who makes it all worthwhile. You can't just do it for the sake of doing it or (like in your case) it might not be done at all. You have to ask yourself why are you in school, who is it for? What are you aiming for in post-secondary? Once you understand the meaning behind it you might find motivation. If you can't find any meaning then that means you have to look deeper. What do you want out of life? These are some deep questions and they aren't fair for teens to have to think about these days but its all things that in the end, if you put in work, will sort itself out. Just keep moving forward, don't look in the past. Ask yourself what is getting in the way of your assignments getting done, and stop doing it. Spend all your time on it and get it done. (Sorry if this advice is kinda shitty, it's a lot easier to communicate via voice interaction).

As for your mental disorders you should really see a licensed doctor for that stuff. If you ever need to vent about anything add me on steam and I'll be there to listen when I'm available...

Be loud? Gotcha'. I want to die!

I really hope this is a joke, but if it's not it's totally normal to feel this way in your life. You have to have an outlet to release these feelings. The best way to deal with these problems if to talk about them. Find someone who you trust, who you can really open up to and just start talking. Cry if you have to. They don't even have to say anything (I know from experience) just by being there and having someone who understands you makes you feel so relieved.

Now if you don't have anyone to share your feelings with, I will always be open for anyone who needs someone. I know how this feels and you have to bring yourself out of it, but in anyway you can get help, please please take it.

I would assume thinking about suicide every few days is normal for an 18 year old, right?

Yeah, pretty normal @Shock.

But, seriously, call the suicide hotline if you are seriously contemplating doing it, at 1-800-273-8255. They're available 24 hours a day.

Suicide is not a joke if you're serious about it, if ya catch my drift. Stay safe mate.

You can safely assume that I'm sleep deprived at all times.

-neutral never seen you or talked to you, but judging from the comments imma give you -neutral lean towards vouch :D

If it wasn't for the group of friends I had at Tango I probably would be back down to that low, but currently I am doing well, I've contemplated suicide a lot, but as far as I'm concerned its behind me now.

Eh, mental health wise I am a bit iffy unfortunately. Dealing with potential bipolar disorder like my mother and sister are. Issue is that it seems to be rapid cycling and it is causing so much distress. Alongside that I have ADHD. Biggest issue regarding all of this is that my mood swings  extremely hard and I go from like a normal mood into extremely energetic to super low and then I end up with my insomnia becoming worse and next thing you know I am up for 2-3 days at a time just to fall asleep and sleep for only 3 hours.
