Temp Leaves / I can explain
« on: May 24, 2020, 07:41:08 pm »
Well, first temp leave on the forums in quite some time.

Surprisingly, ending school for the year has actually thrust upon me more in terms of things to do than while I was still in it. Beyond my sleep schedule needing some serious restarting, I've got things to deal with like we're overhauling the shit out of our lawn and how we're caring for it with my dad which eats up a lot of my time, I've now got some obligations among other things for a couple weeks, so I'll be off of the server for a week or two. I'll see you when I'm back

@Beeboat @Xtra for my Mentorship duties, so you're aware. I may still get on the server late into the days but not for very long.

Denied / Ledwig for HOF
« on: May 23, 2020, 01:37:40 am »
1. What is your in-game name?: Ledwig

2. How long have you played Tango's Jailbreak?: Coming on 750 hours now. It roughly translates to around 31 days checking Gameme.

3. What makes you significant in Jailbreak / What are you known for?: Most notably would probably be my former stints in SA and A-Team, though nowadays I try to be a standout CT player and make my impact on the server through the gameplay. I'm in the Top 10 players and have been as far up at 6th, I'm in the Top 40 players with most time in the server, discounting those who have reset their time

4. Why do you belong in the Hall of Fame?: I'm known by nearly every player on the server who is active and have been very active throughout multiple points in Tango's runtime through the past 2 years. Beyond that, I've definitely made my mark upon Tango and Jailbreak since I've started playing.

5. Is there any other information about yourself that is important?: (Bum bum bum, ba-dum ba-dum) A duck walked up to a lemonade stand And he said to the man, running the stand "Hey! (Bum bum bum) Got any grapes?"

Accepted / [Accepted] Ledwig Mentorship
« on: May 06, 2020, 01:48:09 pm »
1. First Name:

2. Age:

3. Timezone:
Eastern Standard Time

4. How long have you been an official member?:
I've been in and out of Tango a number of times, as of this current day about a month now.

5. Are you comfortable reaching a weekly recruitment goal?:
I had chatted with Beeboy about this privately when the group first came out, and while I don't support weekly recruitment goals with the state of community servers in general on the decline and because of how it has been implemented in the past, I will be willing to fulfill this to the best of my duties as required.

6. Were you referred to apply?:
Yes, by @Xtra and @Dr.Brandon8506

7. Do you administrate on any of the servers?:
Not at the current moment, I sometimes might get enough money to get donor admin on Jailbreak.

8. What servers do you use and for how many hours each week?:
While I've been a little slow in the past week or two (I've been excruciatingly sick for large parts of it) I generally play a lot of Jailbreak, and some KZ if I am in the mood. When I'm healthy and have the time I spend anywhere between 12-24 hours on Jailbreak a week normally.

9. What made you apply for Mentor?:
There are numerous factors, I'd had my eye on the group since it released but was for the most part somewhat taking a step back and not immediately joining, wanting to do some other things first. However since now those things are unable to be done, I'd like to see if I can't help in Mentor from the position I'm at currently. Things like the referrals as well drove me a bit to do it, alongside just general interest in the group.

10. Who have you recruited into the community?:
In the past, I've directed a lot of Members into Tango. Forgive me for my shabby memory however, I've directly asked and recruited the following members into the community. I spent a good few hours sorting through every single post I've commented on to find a number of these. Whilst not directly credited on every app, so you'd need to trust me, I was actively chatting and was friends with a number of these people and told them to apply, just not specifically asking to add me as a referral. Find the list of 40+ by clicking on me.

11. What is the best part of Tango?:
Tango is something incredibly memorable. It's consistently just an experience that sticks with you, be it you're a 14 y/o joining the server and just see really fun members or admins like I did when I first joined, or be it you're someone who gets introduced by TS to the community at large or even the Discord, it's generally a fantastic experience. Tango does this a lot better than most Communities I've seen and interacted with in the past.

12. What is the worst part of Tango?:
The mentality of the players and people within the Community at times. Whilst not always a problem, the way we interpret things like bullying other players, or the sometimes unfriendly rules and environment to those who are new and unknowing is a fairly common problem I see. Myself and others I know can be downright afraid to just act the way they want to sometimes out of how people might react, which is something I don't think is largely okay.

13. What would you change about Tango?:
The way that we treat and teach administrators. In recent times we've heavily lacked proper training for spots like SA/A-Team or even just Donor Admins and it's resulted in a loop of people not knowing what they're doing or how to handle a situation, trying to handle it, only to cause everyone to flame them and for them to lose motivation. Whilst not a huge problem at the second now because we've got a lot of already experienced people, for newer admins or players it feels way too hard for them to learn these things that if we put some effort into we could teach them. Beyond that, I would probably have some more things to say about Recruitment and the mentality behind that  but at the moment my main thing would be what I said above, as I think it'd dramatically improve the quality of the server to take it more seriously again.

14. What differs you from other applicants?:
I have experienced Tango, by and large in full. From being a new member enthralled by the experience, to a dedicated player working to try and get admin, to being in staff, I've seen success and I've seen failure, I've seen the pretty side of Tango and I've seen the harsh underside of it too. I've had the experience of being the one with attention, of being the one who's disliked or causing trouble, in general I've had and gone through a lot in my time in Tango. I was formerly a member of cL and Mentorship as well as have administrated and played across multiple divisions.

15. Why do you want to see Tango grow?:
Tango has undoubtedly changed my life, be it for better or worse depending on the thing, Tango has changed me. I want to try and embody the good I saw in the community and give that good experience to others, and take from my own mistakes and try to help others avoid them. I think Tango is something that can be important to more people and I want to help it grow to become that.

16. If I was interested in joining Tango how would you convince me to join?:
With how I like to recruit people, I'd likely have waited until I were either friends with you or you were playing often and we knew eachother. I'd come to you asking if you had thought about Tango and if you had continue, if you hadn't I'd try and bring the idea up and why you might consider it. I'd likely try to talk to you about the benefits of joining Tango and then ask if you think you want to or are ready to join Tango. If you are, I'd walk you through how to apply, answer any questions as necessary, etc. to help getting that application posted.

17. To you what is the importance of having the Mentor division in Tango?
Well, from what the group looks like at the current it kind of fits more in line with Community Leadership than it does the old Mentorship, and I think that has a great place in the community. To increase interactivity between players on the servers, to expand the member list, and in general just to be there to really make the community flourish, that extra group of the dedicated people who really can make Tango be so great.

18. Is there anything else you'd like to add?:
Good luck to any other applicants, and thank you for reading my post.

Denied / lemme just
« on: April 17, 2020, 05:41:24 pm »
1. What is your in-game name?: Ledwig, Alluka, or Nanika

2. How long have you played Tango's Jailbreak?: Since Mid 2018, 700 hours and counting (If I didn't have a year long period of not playing it'd be past 1,000 by now)

3. What makes you significant in Jailbreak / What are you known for?: I'm the motherfucker who always screams whenever he's about to die to being a dumbass which everyone seems to remember every instance of. I was SA and A-Team in the past too I guess...

4. Why do you belong in the Hall of Fame?: I think I've lost enough braincells playing JB and admining these kids whos brains are so small that they're choking hazards that I should be awarded this by default. Being serious I feel like I've left a pretty good and big impact on Jailbreak

5. Is there any other information about yourself that is important?:

Applications / I was waiting for these to open...

1. What trainer name do you choose when you hop into a Pokémon game?
I always just head in as Joshua

2. What do you make your rivals name?
Usually a friend's name

3. What is your 'perfect' team setup?
Well it's far from perfect (Since I usually end up playing with a team of Pokemon I'll like once I get to the point I can just setup my team like that). Last time I made a team like that it was Mew, Sylveon, Liligant, Lucario, Shaymin, and Zoroark because I really like all of those Pokemon. I've never been the best at tactically playing Pokemon and all, so I'd probably be here way too long trying to explain what that'd be lol.

4. Whenever you are choosing your starter Pokémon, what things do you look for?
I almost always just go for which one I find the cutest, regardless of stats and the like, though I do consider other points of it, I'm usually swayed by cuteness.

5. How many Pokémon games have you played? What were they
  • Pokemon Red
  • Pokemon Crystal
  • Pokemon Fire Red Pokemon
  • Soul Silver
  • Pokemon Platinum
  • Pokemon Black

I've beaten the Elite 4 in Platinum and Black, and got towards the end of the game in Soul Silver. I never got to play these a ton because I never owned my own DS and never owned the games beside Black. For non-mainline games though...
  • Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time
  • Pokémon Showdown (If that counts)
  • Pokémon Go
  • Pokémon Masters

6. What is your favorite Pokémon game?
Pokemon Black, I'm a huge sucker for Gen 5, the story, music, all of it is just a great time

7. What's your favorite Pokémon?
Mew, Eevee, or Sylveon. All of them I love very much, they're all cute, I always have them on my teams if I can (Usually can't for Mew though). I've drawn them all before even and generally they've always been my favorite Pokémon.

If you wanted me to make an extended list though...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
There are a lot in there but those would be my absolute top favorites.

8. Which do you prefer, the Anime or the Games?
For me, I've always been a really big fan of cartoons and the anime was far more readily accessible for me to watch than to play the games so probably the games. Especially in recent times I feel like the anime is what I appreciate more out of the two.

Denied / Punish Harassment More Seriously
« on: April 12, 2020, 05:31:33 pm »
1. Describe the Suggestion: As it stands currently, we have multiple people full on leaving the community or going inactive and not playing the servers they usually enjoy because of harassment, and when things are done about that it's FAR too lenient. So this suggestion entails two main things,
- Hold Tango members more accountable for the things they do including things like messages over Discord and Steam. While you can block them obviously, that shouldn't nullify the fact that they're still harassing you. When I see that kind of stuff sent to people they're always like 'block it' and never actually consider still punishing for the shitty things that they're saying or doing to the target in question. If it gets to the point of needing a block and it's included in the report as evidence, it should be considered proper evidence and not just be told to 'block them'. While it's harder to hold those outside of Tango accountable for things like this, if they are a Tango member the least that should be happening is a more proper punishment, especially when they're using it to loophole punishments a decent chunk of the time.
- Give harsher punishments for harassment, having people be banned for like 1-2 hours maybe just a day if they report isn't enough for how much damage they cause to the members of the community and to our players and especially our admins. While I wouldn't know exactly what times to put it for, it needs some kind of harsher punishment, how much harsher could be decided by the Internal Affairs team. I've had multiple people complain to me about the constant harassment they receive from users only for them to message even members of IA just to be told 'we can't do anything about it.'
2. Related link(s): N/A
3. Possible positive impacts: Less players leaving over harassment, better environments in the server (Since imo this is one of the bigger issues we have in the servers at least as jar as JB is concerned).
4. Possible negative impacts: It'd take a lot of work to change this and it might arise with problems some day. If it's not done carefully it could go from too little to too much.
5. Which Division/Server will this idea affect: All of Tango
6. Tag the respective Staff member(s): (div staff, div leader, web admin, etc.): @Jess. @lulu  (If anyone else needs a tag, please tag them I wasn't sure who all to tag for this.)

Applications / I'm finally not banned from this group?

Nanika's Otaku Squad Application
1. What is your name? Leddy, Alluka, or Nanika, take your pick
2. What is your favorite anime / visual novel / manga? HunterxHunter
3. Depending on your answer to question two; What is your favorite character from your favorite series? Take a look at my name and guess, behind Alluka I'd probably say Killua
4. What is your favorite anime soundtrack or song? "We Are" One Piece opening theme or "Departure!" HunterxHunter opening theme
5. What is the definition of an Otaku? (In your own words) Someone who is generally very invested in Japanese media of any kind, usually blurs the line with Weeaboo.
6. Were you referred by someone already apart of the Otaku Squad? If so, who? Nope
7. What makes you think this is the group for you? Well I've been in this group multiple times and I even managed it at one point in it's history. I'd love to be a part of it again.
8. What anime have you watched so far? Well, in recently memory since I've picked anime back up again (And ones I still just actually remember from previous years) in no particular order...

Sword Art Online (Original, II, and Alicization)
One Piece (Up to Episode 300, still watching)
HunterxHunter (2011) (Finished)
Fruits Basket (Season 1, recent remake version)
Black Clover (Few episodes behind current)
My Hero Academia (Few episodes behind current)

I'm planning on starting up Jojo's Bizzare Adventure and maybe watching a few others when I have the time, I'll be finishing One Piece for now.

TTF Application / [Accepted] Alluka/Nanika for Task Force
« on: April 07, 2020, 11:22:20 pm »
Steam Name: T.w² | Nanika/T.w² | Alluka

GameMe Profile: http://tangoworldwide.gameme.com/playerinfo/222278

If referred to the group, by who?: N/A

In your eyes, what makes a great CT?: Many things, and it depends on whether you're including wardening or not. For me, it's knowledge of common rebelling paths, hiding spots, and the like, also things like having at least decent aim gamesense is necessary to having a great CT. Including things like wardening, having a good attitude that's not iron fisted and the ability to limit rebelling whilst still keeping a fun round.

What makes you unique from other applicants I very well understand the maps and the common spots people rebel in and usually have one of the highest K/D of the active CTs in the server, beyond that I believe I'm a decent warden and that I have more experience than your average user, 14 days of playtime on CT (Compared to my some 12 days on T). I've got a lot of experience and think I'm pretty good at stopping rebellers and the like, with my sessions of playing CT averaging much better K/D or just rebels killed than others on the server

Why should you be allowed into an experienced group such as Task Force?: Experience, I've got over 700 hours on the server and I know the ins and outs of Jailbreak better than most and again, I'm one of the more effective players on CT of the current playerbase.

Do you meet all the requirements for this group? (You will be instantly denied if not): No, I'm not Novice Member yet but I asked specifically if I could apply early and if you're reading this the answer was yes to that question. (I got my permission from Alamo anyone wondering)

Denied / Remove ability to leave specific pointer color
« on: April 05, 2020, 03:23:37 pm »
1. Describe the Suggestion: Name, disallow "Getting off of my Red Pointers are restricted" type of order, where they'll just do put a lot of pointers and put down one pointer of a different color to kill people. It always kills like 5+ people before we do a single minigame because of a very toxic order. Let me specify I do not want to restrict getting off of ANY pointer, but just a specific color since that's always used to be really toxic.

There's no legitimate benefit to it for controlling the Ts that restricting getting off any type of pointer would not, and it's just an avenue for point whores to kill more people without minigames, which is never fun.
2. Related link(s): https://tangoworldwide.net/serverrules/view/csgojb
3. Possible positive impacts: Less toxic orders and more fun in result
4. Possible negative impacts: Point whore wardens gonna be mad
5. Which Division/Server will this idea affect: Jailbreak
6. Tag the respective Staff member(s): (div staff, div leader, web admin, etc.): @Alamo @Philly @$imon

General Discussion / 100 Days
« on: March 31, 2020, 05:53:34 pm »
Well, a new milestone has been hit (or will be in like 40 minutes whatever the case), thought this one was a liiiittle post worthy, why not.

I've just about reached 100 days of time spent on the forum, much of which I do know to be active. Just a bit more and I'm going to break into the Top 10 users with the most time online for the forums (About 1 more day of browsing time)

Accepted / Alluka
« on: March 31, 2020, 03:00:42 am »
1. First Name (Optional): Joshua
2. Age: 17
3. Location/Timezone: EST
4. Gender: Nonbinary
5. Any previous VAC bans: No
6. What games do you play most often?: CS:GO
7. Were you referred by anyone to join Tango? If so, who?: Dr. Brandon, Big Booty Indian Goddess, and Bill have been my biggest confidants about this.
8. Why do you want to be a part of Tango: With COVID-19 hitting a lot of people world-wide, I've found myself drawn to playing in a community again. I feel like there's stuff that I can still give to this community, be it in the form of ideas, giving my time to run events or play the servers, or anything of that sort I think I'd be able to contribute well. I know that I've caused a lot of drama in the past, but the past year has been a long one and I've been trying to take measures to confront and right myself in a number of those places where I did wrong. Since coming back, I've had a lot of fun and done my best to be helpful and show my change where I can show it best, in the servers, and I want to be a member so that I can do even more on that front. I was going to apply a couple weeks down the road so I had a little more time, but the cat got out of the bag a little early on this one, surprise I suppose.
9. Can you donate? (This does not affect acceptance): Not directly
10. Do you have any conflicts with our current members?: No. I have done my best to let go of any kind of conflicts with any members in the community. Someone may have a bone to pick with me, but I've no bones to pick with anyone else
11. Have you been on Tango's Teamspeak or Discord? (IP: ts3.tw2.us) (https://discordapp.com/invite/MrV6Hv3): Yes, both
12. What Tango Servers do you play?: Jailbreak
13. Write a brief background about yourself so we can get to know you better: Hello, I'm Alluka, or Leddy, whatever suits your fancy. Former member of TangoWorldWide amongst various positions in the community. I don't particularly know what to write here unfortunately so I'll cut this short.
14. Have you added your Steam to your forums account? Steam Integration: (Yes/Non-Steam) (How to): Yes
15. Are you okay with wearing the required Tango tag at all times upon acceptance? (You may be contacted if the tag is removed): Yes
16. You hereby agree to follow our Rules & Policies (Agree/Disagree): Yes

Note: During a conversation with balon he told me that nothing is stopping me from applying. I can provide evidence of this to anyone who might need or want to see it privately.

Abusive Admins / [Closed] Ceddy Abuse Report
« on: March 27, 2020, 12:28:03 am »
Your In-Game Name: Alluka
Abusing Admin: Ceddy (This is aqua's account)
Server this occurred on: Jailbreak
Time of occurrence (Date and Time, Map and Round): Sometime between 11:30 and 11:37 PM EST 3/26/2020
Abusive Action(s): False Slay x2, False 1-up x2
What happened (Be detailed): Two different rounds to go over here.
Day 1: I kill Ceddy for jumping at me and trying to knife me. I also a few seconds later kill Joker for coming into rushing distance of me when I'm low and trying to heal. Ceddy, for whatever reason, decides to slay me (Even though joker is SA and perfectly capable of doing so himself). This part isn't shown in the video because he exclusively communicates by warning me for whatever reason, but his reasoning is that joker was going for the heal so the kill was unjustified. Joker also 1ups himself, but later slays and agrees with me privately. It should be noted he tells me to just report him and threatens to kick me instead of just gag or mute me.
Day 2: Right, back into things. Warden calls initially that they are taking 7 completers of slide. He later changes this to 6, which is what I stick to. Upon 6 completing, I start to spray down the rest that had not finished. I get 4 and am immediately slain by Ceddy (I've got confirmation from Joker that it was him). He then proceeds to 1up himself and Kellogs, neither of whom had finished 6th. I don't get the 1up, and then after some looking around find out stuff like this isn't uncommon for him so I decide to make the report and leave. Please see my replies below. My GOTV spectating glitched as happens to be a common bug, and in my video below I counted the wrong 6 and wasn't able to spectate all alive Ts properly at the time. Note in the video how Devin is down on the ground with the completing Ts in perspective when I spectate him and how Ceddy does not show up for me as I'm checking. From my POV, with Ceddy having jumped into the pool of losers I mistook him as someone who hadnt completed in the alloted 6.
Provide necessary proof (Demolinks are NOT sufficient evidence): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuLyy2nTd94&feature=youtu.be I do apologize for the filmora watermark, it significantly reduced the time this took to upload to edit it down a bit. So I thought that best to do.
I hereby agree to follow the guidelines set-forth above(Agree/Disagree): Agree
