Hey guys, due to popular demand I'm going to try and host an osu! event (maybe this weekend? not sure yet). Anyways, I need you guys to answer the poll above with the top star level of maps that you beat/normally play. This is just to get a rough graph of what level maps we should have at the event!

I also take map suggestions, since it's been a minute since I've played. Thanks guys!

We did this event during Summer Games (late July), and while I'd be willing to host again schedules are hard to match up especially at this time of year with school starting back up again.

If we can get interest on this thread, then I can look into hosting it within the next month otherwise it'll definitely make an appearance at 12 days

Letting ALL of the surviving terrorists know where the last CT is on the map is just plain unfair imo. People complain about unfair angles yet this is literally something that can cause it. Know the CT is in the next room? Just walk around the area to the door so you're not "camping" since you KNOW he has to go through there.

Honestly probably the worst addition to JB this year

The point of the last beacon is to prevent the CT from camping. This beacon is initiated 30 seconds after last CT is activated, which is plenty of time. The last CT also receives health proportionate to the amount of T's alive that I believe is capped at around 400 (I could be wrong, it's been a minute since I've played JB). I don't like to be that person that says "you don't even play the server, you don't get an opinion", but at least give the beacon a shot before immediately shooting it down, since you stopped playing JB before that was even implemented.

Overall the beacon should stay. As dope said, it's a fair trade-off with the last CT also receiving more health, having a gun, and there is a decent period of time between last CT and the beacon, where if the beacon is activated it's typically because the CT/T's are hunting eachother for long periods of time, which helps speed up rounds.

Tango is hardly the only server with a beacon for last CT, and we shouldn't remove it for the sake of being "unique" just like we shouldn't add it for the sake of being like every other server. It was necessary due to the amount of last CT's that were just camping a corner with no admins on, and nothing to be done about it until the round timer went off. We've had two other threads about this, and sure people dislike change and still don't like the beacon, but it shouldn't be removed for the sake of appeasement. Maybe make the health cap for last CT higher, add beacons to everyone still alive after that 30 second point, remove the random glock that is given to a T, etc. If after these changes, people still feel that the beacon is unfair and needs to be removed, it can be looked at. But I still feel that it is fine as it is currently.

EDIT: Also, the original poll that was done on this was 14 - 22 - 10, with 14 and 10 voting to keep it, though the 10 voted for changes to be made (which occurred, 10 seconds went to 30). So which, the last CT beacon had a majority vote.

He was blaming the current JB leaders for creating a rule that they didn't create. This rule, despite what people are saying, does have a purpose. They are doing what they can with the rules, as seen in the past two weeks, and threads like this do help them see what they should discuss in the next meetings, but they shouldn't be inherently blamed for something that they didn't see as an issue in the first place, as it wasn't complained about until now (at least, that I've seen).

This rule isn't just against T's, it's against CT's as well so I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that it's just about T's. One unfair angle that sticks out clearly is the area in bhop on dystopian. For those who haven't played the map, there's a secret area in surf that you can't see through unless you're inside. If you're inside, you can see everything like it's glass. This is an unfair angle that shouldn't be held, because it has such a wide view and makes it impossible for T's/CT's to kill the person, especially because it's not just a small box that they shoot from, it's a whole hallway.

The situation previously mentioned isn't an unfair angle in the slightest imo. Sure, there's only one entrance, but I believe there's a vent outside that can get you in unless I'm mistaken. This honestly is just a map flaw, there should be more ways into main cells, but angles like these are held all the time on spyvspy.

I don't know why it was enforced here, it shouldn't have been, and every "unfair angle" situation is different (one-ways, holding a corner, w/e). There obviously should be clarification on it, which is up to the JB divs to do at the next meeting. My point was just saying how a lot of the 'dumb rules' were put in place for a reason, and the JB rules are always changing with community feedback. There's no need to rag on the JB divs unless they are actually being useless, which they arent'.
