I don't wish people to pity me for being drunk but my actions from last night do not reflect myself irl.

Then don't get drunk at 15/16?? Ik we are neutral with each other and I'm not tryna sound like a dick but drink responsibly. There is a reason for alcohol to be legal at the age of 21.. Your actions do reflect on you being drunk btw.... Always take accountability for your mistakes

bro gusy hes a no lkifer he scogulkd bein !!! laike guys hea has no alife gusy!1

honestly hasn't really done much other then become an admin on jb and apply for 7 forum groups

Yeah, here we have the story of two young kids who joined our community around the same age(s).

@ldcommish has achieved staff, has been an extremely active member of our community, has given good input, has high ambitions to contribute to our community, and does more than any person his age that I know. Hell, most times when I interact with him at all I forget his age that is how mature he acts and what he brings forth for our community. He will be apart of the future of this community.

Now, lets review you @abc, since you think you have the grounds to make a judgment on someone else's contributions:
  • 184 posts, three warnings in that time, two for low quality / shit posting
  • zero notable contributions to our community, could not make it past memberr
  • VAC banned TWO VAC Bans
  • Multiple bans on our network

Absolute disgrace to our community, please consider exiting promptly. If not, I'm sure your name will find its' way to my ban command eventually.

1. First Name: Josh

2. Age: 17

3. Timezone: EST

4. How long have you been an official member?: I think approaching 2 years in like 2 months

5. Are you comfortable reaching a weekly recruitment goal?: idk how much it is but i bet i can do it

6. Were you referred to apply?: Yes, by Ryan (otherwise known as the community leadership General operations staff) and my inner self

7. Do you administrate on any of the servers?: I can admin all of the servers but I focus on JB due to being JB Div.

8. What servers do you use and for how many hours each week?: JB and I'd say upwards of 10-15 hours a week.

9. What made you apply for Mentor?: I'd like to see JB specifically grow and community leadership general operations staff kept harassing me and sending gorilla shit to my doorstep.

10. Who have you recruited into the community?: Since I used to be in Community Leadership when it was still around, I'd say I have recruited at least 30+ people. Just an educated guess though.

11. What is the best part of Tango?: The inner-community is something that I think most people find addicting. Not really in a bad way but in a very good way. The environment is very fun to be around and makes being in Tango worth it.

12. What is the worst part of Tango?: I feel there is a lot of potential for positive change but a lot of good ideas are kept hidden. Bringing in new people and discovering their thoughts and opinions on the server is something I think deserves some of the most attention and is what will lead Tango to succeed.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

13. What would you change about Tango?: I feel that more focus towards recruiting new players is a must. The need for an active and consistent player base is something that every community needs. Tango has many people who are great people and have found their way to the community through the servers. The higher ranking of the servers = the more people that can discover Tango through things like gametracker or other community server websites which in turn leads to more people being involved and joining the inner-community and providing another positive personality to the community. The more people we have coming back to the servers, the better.

14. What differs you from other applicants?: I have a ton of experience and have been around the community for a decent amount of time and spoke with hundreds of people.

15. Why do you want to see Tango grow?: I wish for others to have the same experience I did with meeting nice people and enjoying themselves by talking with others and possibly finding their own friend group. It's something many people need to have positive mentality and changes many lives.

16. If I was interested in joining Tango how would you convince me to join?: There's a bunch of cool people there, by joining you will be able to be more involved with those people and make tons of memories, win free shit, and test things that you probably wouldn't have.

17. To you what is the importance of having the Mentor division in Tango? Probably the most important thing. Tango needs a group to focus on keeping things in line as well as bringing in new people. Without it, many people will not aim to join Tango or understand what positive things Tango has to offer.

18. Is there anything else you'd like to add?: I can drive boats pretty well so I can teach the youth about that and I am a professional Wizard101 player many people can confirm

Alex one time vouched my application which is pretty cool too bad he's a baptiste main and has a golden gun for that mother fucker
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

On January 2nd we started the 8th year of TangoWorldWide. Created on January 2, 2014 we have been a community for 7 years, and over that time a lot has changed. We've had not thousands, but over a million players connect to our servers, our discord, our website and at one point or another. TangoWorldWide has served as a home away from home since its' creation, and in 2021 we intend to capitalize on our foundation and keep moving forward.

The year of 2020 was a challenging one for all of us. From a global pandemic that has had an impact on each and every one of us, to calls against social injustice world-wide, political divide, and overbearing challenges we've all had to surpass. While we've all faced so many things as individuals, and as a community, we are proud that TangoWorldWide has continued on to provide a platform to create friends, develop relationships, and have an escape from real life... especially when everything we know has been contested.

Responding to the Conversation
A few days ago I made the thread Creating Conversation as a response to the community's feedback and outcry against Addressing our Future where we announced our CS:GO servers would function primarily in a legacy state and we would begin to downscale our network and focus solely on Discord. We have since reversed this decision and are thankful for the considerable feedback in Creating Conversation. From this thread, we have received tremendous feedback which is extremely helpful in aiding us to plan changes for our future. Effective immediately the following has come of this thread and that first staff meeting:
  • The first staff meeting of each calendar month will be open to the community in our Discord.
  • Meetings that have a community related aspect will be more commonly hosted in Discord, over favor of Teamspeak.
  • The member system will be adjusted, removing the tiers of Novice and Member ranks, resulting in only one 'Novice' and one 'Member' role.
  • Staff Applications will be opened for the first time in our community's history.
  • There will be a community survey, and more changes will be presented during Open Staff Meetings for direct and immediate feedback.
  • The Supporter role will return to TangoWorldWide in a modified capacity.
  • We've outreached to previous developers and contributors to build a team of individuals to continue to push our community forward.
  • We will be working towards more TangoWorldWide Member-Exclusive features such as whitelist servers, member only giveaways, etc.
Through the feedback provided, we have already seen significant positive feedback from all aspects our community: our activity, our numbers, and most importantly our members.

Accountability & Realization
This section could be simply left out or modified, but I think it extremely important to stay accountable and express the different thing(s) I've learned as the Owner of this community over the past several years. As far as accountability goes, as I said in our Open Staff Meeting and I will repeat here: I would like to formally apologize to everyone who I have failed over the last several years. To the staff who depended on me for guidance, which I simply brushed past as things in my life got busy and I lost interest in the community. To the members who have relied on an effective and efficient owner to continue to build the network they enjoy being apart of. And to each and every person who I have otherwise not retained, not reached out to, and not shown care to your issues with our community, departure, or otherwise unease. I got comfortable, I stopped, "wanting more". I stopped pursuing growth, and accepted the community as it was. This is unacceptable, and hopefully in these changes and what we will continue to see -- I can prove to our user-base has long passed. Life did get in the way for awhile, but I should have either passed the community on to someone else, shut it down, or stepped back up sooner. Thank you to each and every person who has stood by us and continued to believe in us. You are what makes it possible to write about 7 successful years of TangoWorldWide. For that, I sincerely thank you.

In accepting responsibility and holding myself accountable, there is also a lot of place for growth and realization. It was my error of thought and judgement to assume people would stay for many years. Growing up and maturing myself over the last few years has shown me my time is valuable and scarce at different periods. Some people grow up, and move on. It is something that I (and we all) have to accept. I am so thankful for the things to which @Alex and @Lt.DoomY did to help build this community. I can honestly say I could not have had better friends to have my back and help me lift this place up. It is time I accept they have moved on, and while I hope the day comes they may return, I cannot hold up the community waiting. It was an error of judgement to bring myself down when I saw staff leave around me, it is difficult because many of them are long time friends and seeing them step away due to change of interests, disagreements, or whatever the case is taxing, but something I will need to continue to work on moving forward. To all former staff, not just my previous ownership: thank you for your contributions and helping make TangoWorldWide what it is. If you left on disagreement, peace, whatever the case may be: while we are no longer in contact please know I do still appreciate your contributions.

Changes & Our Future
It is time to talk about the various changes which have been implemented and will continue to over next several weeks. Some of these changes have been suggested by the community, or long coming from staff. I have included an estimate with each thing coming, which should suggest our completion date:

We have changed coming to our website (design and code implementations), as well as changes to events and various plans for our future.

In the coming months, we will be much more vocal and communicative to our user-base. We want direct feedback to know how we are doing, where we are going, and on what is to come. Thank you for another successful year of TangoWorldWide, 2021 we will add new content, continue to rebuild core areas of our organization, and most importantly, keep moving forward.

+Vouch, briefly said he should be active and also mentioned playing prophunt. Past member with a lot of experience, if he wants to play prophunt (and hopefully recruit for it) that's an added bonus for me.

Loo and myself briefly spoke about it but obviously will be active on gmod. I need that nostalgic rush again :3

Official Announcements / Garry's Mod Returns to TangoWorldWide!
« on: January 02, 2021, 10:09:20 pm »

Hello, everyone! I'm happy to announce that Loo, Ryanf47, and I (among a handful of beta testers) have worked for the past few weeks to get a new Garry's Mod server running to start off the return of our Garry's Mod division. We're starting this release with a brand new Prophunt server as that was highly requested among those who wanted to see the return of the division. We are very excited to see the return of some of our former Garry's Mod players and the return of a game that is very near to my heart in Tango. Please be aware that there is still plenty we plan to do to improve your gameplay experience, but as it stands now we think it'll be a blast for anyone who cares to join!

For those of you who may have played our previous Prophunt server we have made a few significant changes you may enjoy:
  • New prop physics! As a prop instead of locking your rotation you can go into a "physical mode" that allows you to be interacted with, just like any other prop
  • New pointshop! Our new pointshop allows for things such as item crafting, daily objectives, etc.
  • New donation rewards! In an effort to achieve more parity with the Counter-Strike division we have implemented new donation rewards such as points and donor admin

(You can also find it by searching Tango in the server browser under prophunt!)
... or visit the server list.

If we continue to act like this, we will kill the community entirely.

If we have to put our standards this low, the community is already dying.

Since you are too narrow-minded to understand the point of a second chance or giving someone an opportunity to better themselves, I will be forced to break it down to a point where you hopefully will understand.

Banning someone for years and years is absolutely pointless. This is a gaming community, people make dumb fucking mistakes. You should know this of all people, given what you were pissy about with another person, clearly you have some poor marks on your past too. Do you want everyone everywhere to hold you accountable for them too?

This is a GAMING community. We should treat it as such, not some fucking super strict gate-kept place.

The kid obviously has something wrong with him, likely some introvert child that didn't like his first time around he didn't get praised enough or enough approval from our ownership to the point he came to resent the community. It happens.

There is a reason we used to advocate for giving many chances to people, as we didn't want this to be everyone's real life where people need to obsess and get so fucking butt-hurt because someone made a mistake and wants to redeem themselves. Some people fuck up and then realize they aren't apart of the community, aren't apart of the family. I used to argue and advocate for these chances, and somewhere along the way I simply stopped. I thought it wasn't worth the fight anymore, well fuck sitting on the sidelines in my own network.

To make you understand why second chances and forgiveness is so valuable, I'm going to tell you the story of one of our members in 2014, we'll call him ARG. He was the biggest troll, younger kid, made tons of mistakes. Threatened to DDoS TangoWorldWide. Freekilled on JB. Hacked on our servers and in MM with our tag. Caused drama. Argued with co-owners. I gave him chance after chance until I was cornered into no more. Doomy/Alex had enough of me letting him off the hook, but I felt bad for him. I could tell something was wrong at home.

Last year he added me telling me his mom was dying of cancer at the time.

People have problems. They use our network as an escape, and people like you want to gate-keep him.

Tell me, seriously, what negative impact does he impose on you? What experience in Tango will he ruin for you?

From my point of view, you're doing fine ruining your own experiences here. You're deciding to get pissed at people for their past and their mistakes and not letting them learn or grow. Politically speaking, for someone who to my knowledge is on the left and with that side of the compass supporting things like reform, you sure don't want to give the chance for reformation in this case.

people make mistakes, get over it.

TangoWorldWide over the first three years was one of the largest advocates of second chances, believing people can change, giving the benefit of the doubt, and forgiveness. Somewhere along the way we lost that and we have people that gate-keep those trying to re-obtain member status and be apart of something.

What is the absolute worse he can do? Rage hack on JB a second time and get a ban? Like oh no, someone type /ban.

If we continue to act like this, we will kill the community entirely. I've shut up for the last two years over this when we've decided to shut people down and stop them from applying because they did this or that, if they don't impose a direct harm to the community and they don't actively do things against our community any longer, the only reason we are not letting them in is because we cannot forgive people.

Done with it. You have my vouch, and I hope to see you back in my staff team. Obviously this time under better terms.

Good luck Jordan and stay safe out there.

If Minigames were to make it's return to Garry's Mod (Rotational TTT or Deathrun as well) then I would be so willing to hardcore binge that thing alongside my boy @Ryanf47, I've been hoping that we might one day get a chance for return for the division for so long. Beyond that, I think publicly announcing the shift of the community is a good thing and I just hope that we can stick together through this. I'm trying to make my return to the community after such a long period of inactivity as well.
