Haven't heard of any recent issues, was already actively recruiting members before Mentor became a group. Would be a good fit in Mentor.

-devouch I suspect you of ghosting with Refrigerator and being overall very sus. You are very toxic admin and I don't like you.

If you have a reason to believe someone is breaking the rules gather evidence and take it to the player reports board. If you obtain evidence you can come back to this thread and I will happily take it into consideration.

Otherwise this topic is not the place for this discussion.

I appreciate seeing your desire to improve so I am willing to make an exception as you'd be sent to mentor if it was available at the time of your reports.

Official Announcements / Release of Mentor
« on: April 02, 2020, 01:57:08 am »
What is Mentor?

Today marks the release of the Mentor. Mentor is a program that takes inspiration from the former the Mentorship and Community Leader groups. Mentor is a group designed for those who wish to help out other members of the community while also having clear progression that allows them to obtain the skills needed to climb to higher ranks. All ranks in Mentor can only be earned through the previous rank this is to ensure those who hold the higher ranks have the proper skill sets and experience needed to fulfill their role.

Ranks are divided into 4 sections, Trial, Community, Administrative and Staff. The ranks are designed to teach you the baseline needed to succeed in the following position. Trial Mentor teaches you about community outreach and how to recruit members into to the community. Community Mentor expands on this by focusing on community retention and identifying problems within the community. Administrative Mentors have both the communication skills of a Community Mentor but also use their skill set as an admin to ensure admins are comfortable on our servers.

Why will Mentor Succeed?

Mentor is designed with members in mind not what will make my life the easiest. Ranks in Mentor can only be obtained by being promoted from the previous Rank. While giving positions to those who currently hold important roles in other parts of Tango is a good way to fill up ranks it can make people trying to climb from lower ranks feel cheated and also fills positions with Mentors who don't understand what it is like to hold a lower rank within the group. Mentor strives to be a rewarding group environment where you know your hard work will not be going to waste.  This vision will be upheld even if that means I would need to put in more work or have fewer members in the group.

How to Apply?

Applications for Trial Mentor are already open and you can apply today! All information on how to apply can be found in the following thread. All applications will be processed on April 8th and will continue to be processed each Sunday or Early Monday.  Due to Mentor being brand new this is the best time to apply as all positions are currently available to be earned through your performance in Mentor.

What does Mentor mean as an Admin?

Administrative Mentor is a program for new, struggling or admins who simply want to learn.  The Administrative Mentor spots are limited to ensure our server admins are trained not only by experienced Admins but also individuals who have the ability to guide others.  Unfortunately as a result of keeping the position exclusive we are unable to accept all training requests until members have time to work through the ranks.  The status of administrative mentor can be found on this thread. Administrative Mentor works along side Div Staff and IA to ensure that admins are being properly trained and are staying up to date on the rules.

I still need more info!

How to request training from an Administrative Mentor.

Making an admin training request is simple all you need to do is post a request thread in this forum and appropriately tag your post.  Keep in mind that [request] threads cannot always be made and the status of whether or not administrative mentor is accepting those applications will be displayed at the bottom of this thread. Although it is fantastic that experienced admins want to be trained in order to ensure they are preforming the best they can priority is given to those with 0 experience or are causing problems on the servers.

Mentor / Detailed Roster Information
« on: March 03, 2020, 01:33:24 pm »
Apprentice Mentor

At this stage of mentor you have the highest recruitment quota. Mentors are expected to be able to fulfill their duties each week so this position is designed to be challenging to weed out people who can't handle the responsibilities of being a Mentor. As this position is a trial period you will be closely monitored in order to give you the opportunity to move up the roster. Members of the A-Team only need to fulfill this quota once to be promoted as they have already proved they can handle responsibility.
  • Recruit 2 members a week
  • Attend meetings

Community Mentor

Upon becoming a Community Mentor all strikes obtained as an apprentice are cleared. This is the first permanent position of mentor meaning you should be able to comfortably fulfill your duties and reach out to staff if anything goes wrong. Unlike being an apprentice the onus is on you to stand out if you wish to earn an Administrative or Community Staff position.
  • Recruit 1 members a week
  • FTCS for Senior Member and below
  • Attend meetings

Administrative Mentor
  • 3 Jailbreak positions
  • 2 General positions
Being apart of SA or A-Team is required to become an Administrative Mentor. While using the FTCS is no longer required you are still able to continue using it. As we only have so many new admins, positions for this rank are limited. Administrative mentors still have a recruitment requirement but it is much lower and obtaining 3 strikes results in a demotion rather than removal from the Mentor program.
  • Recruit 1 member a week
  • Train new SAs and struggling admins
  • Train admins who request training
  • FTCS for Veteran Members and below
  • Attend meetings

Mentor Staff

Mentor Staff oversee a specific section of the mentor division, the specific duties are outlined in the Mentor Staff board. The Community Staff position can be filled by Community mentors+. The Jailbreak, Support and Administrative positions can only be filled by Administrative Mentors.
  • 1 Jailbreak Staff
  • 1 Administrative Staff
  • 1 Community Staff
  • 1 Support Staff

Mentor / Mentor Roster
« on: February 20, 2020, 07:04:28 pm »
Mentor Staff
The Mentor staff are team members who have shown consistent dedication and responsibility within the mentor program. They are no longer expected to fulfill a weekly recruitment quota due to the other tasks they are responsible for. These duties include training and monitoring other members within the Mentor program. In addition to helping Jr. staff create a path that allows them to achieve their goals within Tango.

Administrative Mentor
Administrative Mentors are SA and A-Team members who have both an extensive understanding of the rules in addition to the ability to resolve server issues with minimal escalation. Their role is to work with the Mentor and Divisional Staff to train admins on the varying aspects of being a great administrator. These Mentors are only asked to recruit 1 member each week as there primary focus on the server should be working with the other admins. The administrative mentor is divided into categories Jailbreak and general.

Community Mentor
Community Mentors primary role is to help retain the members of Tango. Community Mentors reach out to members of the community to see why they have lost interest in Tango, clarify misconceptions that cause members to leave and learn what can be done to make their experience better. Tango would not be where it is today without its player base making these Mentors play a vital role within the community. Due to taking on new responsibilities they need to recruit a reduced number of members each week.

Apprentice Mentor
New members of the Mentor team will be placed in this position. Mentors in this rank are expected to be active on the servers in order to recruit a large number members each week. Performance in this role will be monitored by the mentor staff to determine whether or not they are ready to move further up the ranks of mentor.
