1. First Name: Ryan
2. Age: 18
3. Timezone: US Central
4. How long have you been an official member?: I've been gmod div lead for a little over three months, I think I was officially a member around three months before that. So half a year but I've been on and off for around 5 years.
5. Are you comfortable reaching a weekly recruitment goal?: Uh, it's gmod, so we'll see. I'd say probably but it honestly depends on if I can get gmod off the ground again.
6. Were you referred to apply?: Yeah,
@Refrigerator 7. Do you administrate on any of the servers?: Yeah, GMOD.
8. What servers do you use and for how many hours each week?: GMOD, no set amount of hours, depends on how much or little my staff do their jobs.
9. What made you apply for Mentor?: I mean, up until a few hours ago, one of my major involvements in tango was just helping fridge and xtra with anything they need concerning mentor and training every single gmod admin. I'd like to keep doing that.
10. Who have you recruited into the community?: A lot of no namer gmod kids, probably around 30/40. I could go and name them all but I doubt there's more than a handful of ones recognizable to anyone.
11. What is the best part of Tango?: Honestly, probably the people. I've found a whole lot of friends through tango both in the past and now, that's the main reason I try and contribute to tango and it'll continue being so. I've met so many friends here and had so many good times, I just want to find a way to help out and pay that debt back.
12. What is the worst part of Tango?: The lack of current involvement. In the past, there were a whole lot more people going above and beyond and just in general being active within the community. That was one of the parts of tango I loved, and now it's not nearly the same. It's the reason that mentor struggles to even pull a page of recruits whereas when I was active I've seen it get to 5 pages with a lot of effort and 2/3 normally.
13. What would you change about Tango?: I think I'd change the lack of involvement listed above.
14. What differs you from other applicants?: Experience, activity within gmod, and willingness to help out xtra and fridge with anything they need me to help out with. I honestly want mentor to succeed, if mentor can succeed, so can the rest of the community. That's honestly my goal here, is to make new friends and to help the community to restore it's former glory.
15. Why do you want to see Tango grow?: I just have some kind of underlying dedication to tango. I've had so many good experiences here, I want others to have the same opportunities.
16. If I was interested in joining Tango how would you convince me to join?: I think it depends on person to person. Some people strive for admin, some strive for friends, some strive for involvement. What I usually do is just try and get people more involved in discord and the servers, and then, if they enjoy the community, I try and recruit them. The job of a recruiter isn't to harass people into joining the community, but rather get them more involved and not pressure them into anything. You want to help them make the decision but not make it for them.
17. To you what is the importance of having the Mentor division in Tango? Here is where we get our community outreach, recruitment, recovery, and admin training. Almost everything involving tango is centered around this group and for tango to be successful, this absolutely has to be successful.
*18. If you could do anything to improve mentor what would it be? Lack of involvement. Mentor doesn't have very many people, and those that we do have aren't always the most involved. That's the thing that mentor needs to focus on most. Getting dedicated mentors in order to play a more pivotal role in the community as it should.
19. Is there anything else you'd like to add?: Not currently.
