Departures / speedrun to registered (voltingshock departure)
« on: May 28, 2021, 09:47:05 pm »
legend has it no one has gone from advisor to registered so fast (unless someone has and it was old)

Yeah I guess this is it. It's time for me to leave, I have been stagnant as advisor for the past few weeks/months and I think that has really reflected in my attitude with some of you in staff and I apologize for any grievances I may have caused.

My time in tango has been great and I don't regret any of it, almost 2 years in staff and member for whatever and I have made a great many friends in this time that I do not regret meeting, nor the time spent in the discord or the servers. I'll still be around the discord n stuff dw.

this departure doesn't come from an issue with balon or the ownership of tango nor a specific accident just my general... inability to help as much as I wanted to in advisor made this start draining on me and I think that really reflected in both what I was doing both within and outside of tango.

I do feel awful as I write this because I never intended for my departure to be this way because tango really has meant a lot to me these past few years.

Normally I would skip the obligatory tag list but I feel like this is a pretty good time to make one so here goes nothing

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Good luck with everything y'all I hold no bad feelings towards tango it's just time to move on. I hope mentor recovers, I'm sorry I failed it. I hope jailbreak recovers, and it will bc ryry the goat and I'm the #1 ryry fan.

Off-Topic / Re: Nintendo Switch game recommendations?

Odyssey is a must play if you have a switch, the movement + level design + music + art is 🥵
this is entirely true. Fantastic.

SMM2 still stands as one of my other favorite switch games. Hades is also on switch now so go get that bc hades is amazing

1. Name: voltingcuck
2. Age: 18
3. What gacha games do you play?: AFK Arena, MKX Mobile, PVZ Heroes,  Magic: The Gathering (hehe does this count as gacha), Hearthstone (see previous comment about magic) DB Legends (formerly), Genshin Impact (formerly), ArkKnight (formerly)
4. How long have you been playing the listed gachas?: 5 years-present
5. Why do you want to be a part of this group?: me like gacha
6. Do you have any images to show progress in gachas? (This could be time played or units you own).: idk how to get mobile SS's onto the forums so look at the gaming channel in tango discord to see them
7. Let us know a bit more about yourself and how you got into gacha games: the first "gacha" games I started playing was pvz heroes and hearthstone, if u want to count them as gacha (they follow all the same conventions as gacha, because TCG's are basically just gacha games) as well as MKX mobile, which expanded into DB legends about 3 years ago, which expanded into genshin and arkknights about 2 years ago, which expanded into afk arena a couple months ago which is my current addiction

General Discussion / Re: May 22nd - National Instrument Day
« on: May 22, 2021, 02:10:53 pm »
I play the triangle.

Also, let's be honest. All these "national days" are absolute bs that someone pulled out of their ass in order to make every day feel special.
who cares it's for fun

General Discussion / May 22nd - National Instrument Day
« on: May 22, 2021, 01:49:59 pm »

I figured to spark some forum activity I would start posting interesting national days (as found from the National Day Calender)

Today's Day:
National #BuyAnInstrumentDay

Each year on May 22nd we observe National Buy a Musical Instrument Day. The day is all about playing music. If you are a musician, it might be time for a new instrument.  Maybe you can learn to play a second or third one. If you have never played an instrument before, this celebration may be the motivation you need.

Question to go along with it:
Do you play any instruments? How many and what are they? what are some instruments you would be interested in learning (regardless of whether you know how to play any already)?

General Discussion / Re: Future job

Commercial Pilot, I would start out flight instructing to get enough hours for a commercial licence, then go to a regional airline like envoy or united for a while and then eventually go into an international airline like united (but the international version) or american airlines, which as long as there are no problems I should stick with.

My dad was a pilot and is the biggest reason I'm pursuing this, otherwise I would have no idea it was an option and I'm so glad for it.

Temp Leaves / big ol' temp (5/15 - 6/10)
« on: May 15, 2021, 08:54:25 pm »
not to copy vita or anything but tis' temp leave time.

Life has been a bitch in the last month or so and I feel like that has been reflected in how I've talked to some of you and I'm sorry about that- gonna take it easy until my exams are finished. My last exam is june 10th so I've tentatively set the end date for this temp for then.

While I will be busy this summer, attending private flight school (for my private licence bfore I go to college for aviation) and ofc writing college apps, I should have plenty of time for tango without school (no summer school fuck that).

Feel free to dm me on discord, and I will still be talking to people and doing what I can for tango behind the scenes but I won't be doing big stuff cuz I don't have the mental space or time. Questions about staff and issues with staff and whatnot can still be sent to me I'll still answer

5/15-6/10 basically

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Regarding Jailbreak
« on: May 08, 2021, 05:24:10 pm »
This kind of discussion, like I said in my earlier reply, is exactly what we love from the jb community. I want to take this moment to shout out the upcoming JB community meeting on 5/15. The full information can be found in this post

Also remember to keep it chill- no one here wants jailbreak to fail and we will be most productive when we don't get super heated :)

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Regarding Jailbreak
« on: May 08, 2021, 11:43:33 am »
no point in me responding to each individual thing bc people already have but I love to see this kind of post. regardless of the replies people make this kind of thing is always appreciated, even if at the end of the day we can't solve every issue outlined it's good for people to see it, and for staff to see it.

like balon said, this kind of initiative and drive is awesome and for anyone reading that really wants to help, staff applications can be made here
